Scope: Boiler
Location: Brooklyn Park, MN
The North Hennepin Technical College project was a three boiler replacement project. This project included changing out: (2) 300hp boiler, (1) 150hp boiler, condensate tank and feed water system. The documentation called for a temporary boiler, but NAC was able to display to the owner through CADRivot (BIM) that the boilers could be staged (changed out) so that a temporary boiler wasn’t needed. This, in turn, saved the owner the temporary boiler dollars.
The completion time was 5 months (December to March) and was done while maintaining full heating services to the occupancy building. NAC was the prime contractor on this project.
